I love the holidays. They are always such a wonderfully busy time of year. From spending time with friends and family to shopping for gifts, it is my favorite time of the year.
On December 22, 1946, the Macdonald Studio captured the festive, fast-paced atmosphere of downtown Lincoln at Christmas. Both views were taken from about 13th and O Streets looking west. Electric stars and garland hang from street lights along O Street. The photographs were commissioned by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and feature the holiday decorations they sponsored.
